Mesothelioma Death Rates
The HSE have produced their latest report on Mesothelioma mortality in Great Britain that provides geographical analysis from 1981 to 2005 and occupational analysis from 2002 to 2005 of occurrences.
They’ve provided a “top 20″ mortality rate of occupations, which clearly demonstrates which trades are most at risk from exposure to asbestos.
As you’ll see from the list, there is a very good reason why the asbestos regulations are in place. If you haven’t got an asbestos register in your commercial premises (as long as they were built before 2000), you could be putting staff, visitors and contractors at risk.

Don’t think that asbestos can’t affect you and your business. Mesothelioma rates are increasing every year and now average around 2000 per year, with both men and women being affected.
It is expected that death rates and new diagnoses will continue to increase each year for the foreseeable future.
