Asbestos Floor Tiles

What are the implications if you have asbestos containing floor tiles? |
The vinyl floor covering in this picture was lifted slightly to reveal older floor tiles beneath. The floor tiles were tested and found to contain asbestos. This was a type 3 survey.

These stair nosings contain asbestos. Originally laid in the early 1970's, it's unlikely that you would get any fibre release from them and therefore there is no risk to health in leaving them in position. It's impossible to tell by looking at a material to know if there is asbestos present. These were tested and came up positive. |
