Another Johns Manville magazine advertisement showing how asbestos was used in felt roofing products. Today, we still find examples of felt roofing that contains asbestos on many buildings. Similartly, what the Americans call "shingles", we call tiles and again, we find many examples of asbestos derived rof tiles on UK commercial buildings. They were also widely used in domestic properties in the 1960's to the 1980's. |

This ad appeared in a USA magazine in october 1957. We have discovered a number of asbestos cement pipes during our surveys at sewage treatment plants in the UK.
